In comp.dcom.modems you write:

Great idea! I would be very happy, to have a Newsgroup or - in my eyes
better - a mailinglist!

Let me know, what you figured out.

I would be interested in such a thing. Please let me in know if you ever
set it up.

Subject:US Robotics Total Control Listserv From: Ray Kopp <rjkopp@mailbox.syr.edu> Date: 1995-04-27 10:14:10
I got 3 responses to my request.
Also I've been thinking about this and was wondering if it would be best
to expand it to any brand managed modem racks?
What do the rest of you think.
The reason for this is that I really knew nothing about any others until
just recently and even with that I still know very little. However I
think it's a good idea to know what the competition has, it gives us more
to have as amunition if we wish to ask U.S.R. to include in future software
releases and it gives us a better view of the market for when we are
expanding or needing to upgrade.
What do the rest of you think?
Also any suggested listserv names? I'd like it to be indicative of
the fact we are talking about managed rack modems not personal modems.
Thanks,
Ray Kopp

Ray, send mail to listmgr@mailbox.syr.edu saying you want to set one up.
I'm avoiding setting any up right now, but in a week or two I should
be doing them.

I think, that if the listeserver is running, the people will come. I
know from my own experience, that there are more then 20 persons (in
germany), which will be interested in having this list.
A talk to USR sounds not so bad, may be you can kick them to set up
this service by themselve :-)
