Though I did not mention this in my prior description, we too use USR racks
with Total Control. We're very happy with the present implementation
though I'm curious how you drop connections via TC. Our users are almost
all connecting with SLIP which gets around setting the tx/rx inactivity
timer for the modem serial port.

We've hammered Cisco about this also. We have had some luck with other
requests so I guess we'll continue to bring this issue up.
