Bay Networks Centillion ATM Switching Software Release 3.2 - August 1998

Known Issues

1. When accessing the CLI, sessions will time out after five minutes of
inactivity while in "config mode" or at the "config" prompt.

2. CR83788: Misconfiguring a LEC may cause a switch to reset over time.
Such misconfigurations include the following: 1) there is no LES/BUS pair
associated with a LEC and this LEC attempts to join a non-existing LES; 2)
the LEC does not conform to ELAN requirements such as a mismatched MTU and
mismatched lantype.

3. CR80642: Use SpeedView (not CLI) to configure the Port Speed and
Connection Mode of the Model 5625. There are five options available in
SpeedView: AutoSpeed/AutoDuplex, 10/Half-Duplex, 10/Full-Duplex,
100/Half-Duplex, 100/Full-Duplex.

4. CR83445: When a module is hot-swapped to an empty slot in the switch,
the "Move/Add Module" command in SpeedView must be used, and individual
ports must be enabled prior to a TFTP download of the configuration.

5. CR83002: While in SpeedView box view, the ATM MDA module is displayed as
an ATM Speed 155(4ports) module.

6. CR83028: SpeedView generates a Comm error [-33] while downloading a
configuration to a remote switch where major LEC parameters are modified
because the time needed for the operation to complete causes an IP timeout.
Functionality is normal, and the switch needs to be rediscovered.

7. CR82842: Using the Advanced LECS policy, LECs only join ELANs using the
MAC address policy via SpeedView serial. There is currently no operational
support for this feature in SpeedView SNMP.

8. CR83673: Source route bridging through a 5525HD Virtual Ring port that
is connected to a token ring bridge will not work. Directly attached
stations in the Virtual Ring function properly.

9. CR83298: The following counters for MIBs for LANE Health do not
increment: atmSigSSCOPConEvents, atmSigSSCOPErrPdus,
atmSigEmitSetupAttempts, atmSigDetectUnavailResrcs,
atmSigDetectClgPtyEvents, atmSigEmitClgPtyEvents.
