To create a source MAC address-based VLAN:
| The New VLAN dialog box opens. |
| The value can be from 1 to 4094, as long as it is not already in use. (The default VLAN has a VLAN ID of 1.) |
| If no name is entered, a default is created. |
| Other items in the dialog box that apply to source MAC address-based VLANs are activated. |

| Note: Not all VLAN types are available on all devices that Optivity Switch Manager supports. Devices that do not support source MAC address-based VLANs will be absent from the device list. |
| The Edit Mac - VLAN dialog box opens. |
| You can create this file earlier and remember where you saved the text file. You can use colons (:) or dashes (-) to delineate the MAC address. |
