Use the read-only Root table to view information about the device acting as root within a selected STG.
To view the root table:

The following table describes the fields on the Root table.
Field
Description
Device
IP address of a device in the STG.
Bridge
Address
MAC address used by this bridge when it must be identified in a unique fashion.
Designated
Root
Bridge identifier of the root of the spanning tree as determined by the Spanning Tree Protocol as executed by this device. This value is used as the Root Identifier parameter in all configuration BPDUs originated by this device.
RootCost
Cost of the path to the root as seen from this bridge.
RootPort
Port number of the port that offers the lowest cost path from this bridge to the root bridge.
