Viewing spanning tree groups (STGs)

All devices supported by Optivity Switch Manager support the IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol and at least one instance of a Spanning Tree Group. Refer to Spanning Tree Protocol for the maximum STGs supported by each switch.

To view an STG:

Click the folder for the STG you want to view.

The folder expands to show four icons representing types of information available about the STG and a list of VLANS in the STGas shown below.

The following table describes the STG icons displayed in the VLAN Manager navigation pane.

Icon	Name	Description
	Members	Devices and ports that are part of the STG. For more information, see Port Members table.
	Config	STG configuration information. For more information, see Config table.
	Status	STG status information, including STG topology change information. For more information, see Status table.
	Root	Devices that are the STG root. For more information, see Root table.
