Adding access policies

You can control access to Passport and Accelar devices in the security domain with access policies. The access policy specifies the hosts or networks that can access the switch through various services.

To add an access policy:

  1. In the navigation pane, click the folder for the security domain for which you want to configure access policies.
  2. In the contents pane, make sure that the Access Policy check box in the Attributes area is marked.
  3. If Access Policy is not checked, click to select it and then click Apply Changes on the toolbar.
  4. In the security domain folder, click the icon for the Attributes folder.
  5. In the Contents pane, click the Access Policy Table tab to bring it to the front.
  6. On the Toolbar, click Insert (the + symbol).
  7. Or, from the menu bar, choose Edit > Insert.
    The New Access Policy dialog box opens.
  8. Select appropriate access policy settings. For more information about access policy settings, see New Access Policy dialog box.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Security Manager creates a new entry on the Access Policy Table tab.
  11. On the Security Manager toolbar, click Apply Changes.
  12. Or, from the menu bar, choose Edit > Apply Changes.
    Security Manager applies your changes to the devices in the security domain.
