Setting security domain properties

Security Manager applies the properties of a security domain to all of the devices that are members of that domain. To view and change the properties of a security domain:

  1. In the navigation pane, click on the folder for a security domain.
  2. The property table opens in the content pane. For more information, see Property table.
  3. In the RWA community box, enter the SNMP read/write/all community string for the security domain. The RWA community for the domain must match the RWA community currently configured on the devices in the domain.

Note Note: The RWA community does not take effect until you click Apply on the Optivity Switch Manager toolbar.

  4. In the Attribute types area, mark the check boxes for the security attributes that you want to manage for the security domain.
  5. For more information, see Managing security domain attributes.
  6. In the threshold boxes, enter values for the various security thresholds.
  7. You can highlight devices that exceed the security threshold values on the Optivity Switch Manager topology map. For more information, see Highlighting devices that exceed security thresholds.
  8. On the Security Manager toolbar, click Apply.
