Viewing isolated devices

Isolated devices have one or more connections to a hub or bus, but are not connected to another switch.

To view the isolated devices:


In the MultiLink Trunking Manager navigation pane, select an isolated device.


The Isolated Device table opens in the contents pane.

The following table describes the fields in the Isolated Device table.


Field Description
Device
IP address, system name, or host name of the device.
Id
Number of the MLT.
Name
Name given to the MLT.
PortMembers
Ports that are assigned to the MLT.
PortType
Type of port on the MLT (access or trunk).
VlanIds
VLAN(s) to which the ports belong.
Enable
Indicates whether the MLT is enabled (true) or disabled (false).
IfIndex
Interface index, a number that identifies the MLT to the software. The range is:
  • 512 to 519 for Passport 1000 family devices
  • 4096 - 4127 for Passport 8000 family devices
MltType
For SMLT configurations, shows one of the following types of MLT links:
  • normalMLT - Use for normal MLT that do not use SMLT features.
  • istMLT - Use for IST (inter-switch trunk) links between peer devices in SMLT configurations.
  • splitMLT - Use for SMLT links between peer devices and non-peer devices in SMLT configurations.
SmltId
Shows the SMLT ID number for split multilink trunk links.
