Uploading a file using Device Manager

Note: The Passport 1000 Series does not support this feature.

To upload a Passport 8000 Series syslog file using Device Manager:

1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > File System.

The FileSystem dialog box opens with the Copy File tab displayed.

2. In the Source box, enter the file name and location of the syslog file, for example:

/flash/syslog.txt

3. In the Destination box, enter the destination file name and the IP address of the TFTP server, for example:

10.170.137.105:syslog.txt

4. Click the start radio button.
5. Click Apply.
