Enabling or disabling ARP on the VLAN

Before you configure ARP for a VLAN you must enable ARP on the VLAN.

To enable or disable ARP on a VLAN:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
  2. The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed.
  3. Select a VLAN.
  4. Click IP.
  5. The IP, VLAN dialog box opens with the IP Address tab displayed.
  6. Click the ARP tab.
  7. The ARP tab opens.
  8. In the DoResp field, click disable or enable to select whether or not to respond to an ARP.
  9. Click Apply.
  10. The default is enabled.
  11. In the DoProxy field, click enable to enable Proxy ARP function.
  12. The default is disabled.
