Protocols tab and the UDP Forwarding, Insert Protocols dialog box fields


Field Description
Port Number
Port number associated with the protocol. The range is from 1 to 65,535, and it must not be a well-known UDP port number.
Name
Select from the following protocol names:
  • Time Service
  • TACACS Service
  • DNS
  • TFTP
  • NetBIOS Name Service
  • NetBIOS Data Service

  1. In the PortNumber text box, type a port number (UDP port).
    2. This number defines the port (UDP port) used by the server process as its contact port.The range is from 1 to 65535 and cannot be one of the well- known UDP port numbers or a number previously assigned.
  2. In the Name text box, type a name for the protocol.
  3. Click Insert.
    4. The protocol is added to the Protocol table.

    Note Note: Once created, a protocol name or number cannot be changed.
