To configure IGMP parameters on a brouter port:
| The Port dialog box opens with the IGMP tab displayed. |
The table below describes the items on the IGMP tab.
QueryInterval
The frequency (in seconds) at which IGMP host query packets are transmitted on the interface. The range is 1 to 65535 with a default of 125.
Version
The version (version1 or version2) of IGMP that is running on the interface. For IGMP to function correctly, all routers on a LAN must be configured to run the same version of IGMP on that LAN. The default is version 2.
QueryMaxResponseTime
The maximum response time (in seconds) advertised in IGMPv2 queries on the interface. Smaller values allow a router to prune groups faster. The range is 1 to 255 with a default of 10 seconds.
Robustness
This parameter allows tuning for the expected packet loss of a network. This value is equal to the number of expected query packet losses per serial query interval, plus 1. If a network is expected to lose query packets, the robustness value should be increased. The range is from 2 to 255 with a default value of 2. The default value of 2 means that one query per query interval may be dropped without the querier aging out.
LastMembQueryIntvl
Increasing this parameter increases the time before aging hosts on the network. It also increases the number of retransmits of group-specific queries. The range is from 1 to 255. The default value is 1.
SnoopEnable
Enables snoop.
ProxySnoopEnable
Enables proxy snoop.
FastLeaveEnable
Enables fast leave on the interface.
