Filter tab and Bridge, VLAN Insert Filter dialog box items


Item Description
MacAddress
Enter the MAC address to be filtered.
Port
Select the ports from which you do not want to receive packet traffic for this MAC address. You can either type in the port address or select the port from the port list after clicking the Ellipsis button at the end of the Port text box.
NotAllowedFrom
Select the ports from which traffic is not allowed. You can either type in the port address or select the port from the port list after clicking the Ellipsis button at the end of the NotAllowedFrom text box.
Status
The status of this entry. The default value is permanent.

To filter layer 2 traffic:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
  2. The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed.
  3. From the table, select a VLAN.
  4. Click the Bridge button.
  5. The Bridge dialog box opens with the Transparent tab displayed
  6. Click the Filter tab.
  7. The Filter tab opens.
  8. In the Filter tab, click Insert.
  9. The Bridge, VLAN, Insert Filter dialog box opens.

  10. Type the information.
  11. Click Insert.
