Access Policy tab items


Item Description
Id
Policy ID.
Name
Name of this policy.
PolicyEnable
Select to activate the access policy.
Mode
Indicates whether to permit or deny access to the device to a packet having a source IP address that matches the entry.
Service
Selects the protocol to which you should apply this entry. (You can apply multiple services to each entry.)
Precedence
Indicates the precedence of the policy. The lower the number, the higher the precedence (1 to 128).
NetAddr
Source network IP address. An address of 0.0.0.0 specifies any address on the network.
NetMask
Source network masks.
TrustedHostAddr
Trusted IP address of the host performing rlogin or rsh into the device. Applies only to rlogin and rsh.
Note: You cannot use wildcard entries.
TrustedHostUserName
User name assigned to the trusted host. Applies only to rlogin and rsh.
Note: You cannot use wildcard entries. The user must log in with the user name to be assigned to the trusted host.
AccessLevel
Access level of the trusted host (read-only, read/write, or read/write/all).
Usage
A usage counter.

  1. Click the PolicyEnable check box.
  2. In the Service field, select a service.
  3. In the Mode field, select whether to allow or deny the service.
  4. In the Precedence field, type a precedence number for the service (lower numbers mean higher precedence).
  5. In the NetAddr field, type an IP address or range of addresses.
  6. In the AccessLevel field, select an access level for the service.
  7. Click Insert.
    8. The Security dialog box opens with the new access policy displayed.
