Global filter sets

Use the Global Set tab to build lists of global filters.

To build global filter lists:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > Filter.
  2. The Filter dialog box opens, with the Filters tab displayed.
  3. Click the Global Set tab.
  4. Thee Global Set tab opens.
  5. Click Insert.
  6. The Insert Global Set dialog box is displayed.

  7. In the Id field, type the global list ID.
  8. In the Name field, type the filter name.
  9. Select filter IDs in the Insert window.

    Note Note: The Insert dialog box does not have any filter IDs to select from if none are created.

The table below describes the Global Set tab and Insert Global Set dialog box items.


Items Description
Id
A unique identifier (ID) is automatically generated by the system when a filter is created.
Name
The name given to the filter.
FilterIdList
Used to indicate zero or more filters that are associated with this filter list. Each filter identifier is stored as 2 bytes in this array, starting from offset zero. Any unused bytes must be set to zero.
MemberPorts
Ports belonging to a filter set.
