StaticService tab

The StaticService tab contains the same information as the Service tab, organized by circuit index number. It lists the types of services configured on the switch.

To open the IPX StaticService tab:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IPX Routing > IPX.
  2. The IPX dialog box opens with the Global tab displayed.
  3. Click the StaticService tab.
  4. The IPX dialog box opens with the StaticService tab displayed.


    Note Note: To insert a static service, a route to that service must exist (either statically or dynamically).

The table below describes the StaticService tab items.


Item Description
CircIndex
The circuit index number corresponding to the network number.
Name
The name of the service (48 byte field).
Type
Type of service provided (in hex).
NetNum
The IPX network number where this service is available.
Node
The 6-byte node address. The Node and NetNum items correspond to the IPXhost parameter in the CLI.
Note: The NetNum and Node make up the IPX host address where the service is available.
Socket
The socket address of the service (in hex).
HopCount
The number of intermediate networks that must be passed through to reach the server.
