Viewing and editing RIP information

Use the RIP dialog box to view and edit routing information protocol (RIP) parameters.

To configure RIP on the interface:

From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IPX Routing > RIP.

The RIP dialog box opens.

The table below describes the RIP dialog box items.


Item Description
Index
The index number assigned to the interface.
State
The current state of RIP on the interface: on, off, auto-on, auto-off. The default is on (when global IPX routing is enabled and configured on the VLAN).
Delay
The frame rate. The default is 20 frames per second; delay time range is 1 to 1000 ms.
Update
The time period (in seconds) after which periodic updates of the current list of active network numbers is sent. The default is 60 seconds with a range of 1 to 2147483647.
AgeMultiplier
The hold multiplier timing parameter. The default is 3 with a range of 1 to 2147483647.
