      Installation Instruction for Optivity Switch Manager 1.1.0.0

Installation procedure the Optivity Switch Management Software on 
a Solaris system :

1.  Download the Optivity Switch Manager Software file to a location 
    on your computer system where you want to install the software.  
    The file is in a Unix tar and gzip format (e.g., osm_1100.tar.gz).

2.  Uncompress the file using gzip -dc command which will not change 
    the original .tar.gz file, or using gzip -d command to replace 
    the original .tar.gz file with .tar file.
    (e.g., %% gzip -dc osm_1100.tar.gz > osm_1100.tar)
    (e.g., %% gzip -d osm_1100.tar.gz)

3.  Untar the file
    (e.g., %% tar xvf osm_1100.tar)

4.  Change directory into the software directory
    (e.g., %% cd osm_1100)

5.  Execute the "OSM" script file to start the Optivity Switch Manager.

If OSM does not start properly, verify the Java Runtime Environment is 
installed correctly.  Also, verify your $PATH and $JAVA_HOME environment 
variables are set correctly.
