As Optivity Switch Manager discovers devices, they are briefly arranged by default in a column (top to bottom/left to right) on the topology map. The figure below shows the Optivity Switch Manager contents pane after a seed address was located. This topology map is difficult to read. You can manually or automatically adjust the layout.

To view the network topology in a useful format, you must arrange the devices either automatically or manually.
To automatically arrange the topology map:
| The nodes are automatically arranged on the map. You may need to manually adjust nodes on the map until you have the desired layout. |
To manually arrange the devices discovered in the network topology:

Drag the node to a desired location on the topology map. |
