In the Boot tab, you can assign the software version, boot configuration source, run-time image source, and run-time configuration source.

The software version that is currently running.

The last source from which the switch booted.
PrimarySource
Specifies the first boot source the switch attempts to use at bootup. Refer to
PrimarySourceFileName
Name of the boot file in the primary source.
SecondarySource
Specifies the second boot source the switch attempts to use at bootup. Refer to Table 20 for boot option descriptions.
SecondarySourceFileName
Name of the boot file in the secondary source.
Tertiary
Specifies the third boot source the switch attempts to use at bootup. Refer to Table 20 for boot option descriptions.
TeritarySourceFileName
Name of the boot file in the tertiary source.
ConfigSource
Specifies the source from which the switch loads the configuration file.
ConfigSourceFileName
Name of the configuration file.
PrimarySourceFileName
Name of the boot file in the primary source.
In the Boot dialog box, you also can assign the boot order as primary, secondary, or tertiary for the boot options.

The PCMCIA card provides portable configuration and software image storage. Using multiple PCMCIA cards, you can expand your booting options:

Software is loaded onto a network server. Using BootP and TFTP, you can boot your switch over the network.

Skips the boot options specified for this entry and goes to the next set of options in descending order. For example, tagging the primary boot as "skip" specifies that the secondary boot options should be attempted first.
The switch attempts to boot from the sources specified by trying the primary source first. If the primary source fails, it attempts to boot from the secondary source and, failing that, it attempts to boot from the tertiary source.You can also specify the boot order from the Web Management Interface (refer to Reference for the Accelar 1000 Series Management Software Routing Operations) or from the Boot Monitor CLI (refer to Reference for the Accelar 1000 Series Command Line Interface - Software Release 2.0).
