Enable RIP on the interface

Use the RIP tab to configure parameters for a virtual router interface or a physical router interface. The RIP tab fields for both types of interfaces have the same parameters, and the parameters function the same.

To enable RIP on the interface:

  1. To open the RIP tab, do one of the following:
    2. ­ Choose VLAN > VLANs > Basic >IP > RIP.
    The IP VLAN dialog box opens, and the RIP tab is displayed.
    ­ Choose Edit > Port > RIP.
    The Port dialog box opens, and the RIP tab is displayed.
  2. Select Enable.
  3. Click Apply.
