Managing router hosts

You can specify which hosts are directly attached to the router, and the metrics and types of service that should be advertised for them.

To manage router hosts:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > OSPF.
    2. The OSPF dialog box opens with the General tab displayed.
    The Hosts tab opens.
  2. Click Insert.
    3. The OSPF, Insert Hosts dialog box opens.
  3. Specify the IP address of the host at point of attachment.
  4. Specify the metric to be advertised.
  5. Specify the Area ID where the host is found.
  6. Click Insert.
