Viewing characteristics in the Ext. Link State database
The Link State Database contains the Link State Advertisements from the areas that the switch device is attached. The External Link State Database is identical to the OSPF LSDB, but contains only External Link State Advertisements. The purpose is to allow external LSAs to be displayed once for the router rather than once in each non-stub area.
To view the characteristics of the external link state database:
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > OSPF.
