Inserting multicast MAC addresses
You can insert multicast MAC addresses as follows:
- On the Device Manage menu bar, choose VLAN > MAC Forwarding.

- Click the Multicast MAC Addresses tab.

The table that follows describes the Multicast MAC Addresses tab fields on the MAC dialog box.
MulticastVlanIndex
|
The next available index value of a local VLAN entry in the VLAN multicast table.
|
MulticastAddress
|
The destination MAC address in a frame to which this entry's filtering information applies.
|
MulticastStaticEgressPorts
|
The set of ports to which frames received from a specific port and destined for a specific multicast or broadcast MAC address must be forwarded, regardless of any dynamic information.

- Click Insert.

- In the MulticastVlanIndex field, select the index entry by clicking the ellipsis button.

- Highlight one of the desired options and then click OK.
- Enter a MulticastAddress.
- Specify the ports by clicking the MulticastStaticEgressPorts ellipsis button.

- Select the desired ports and press OK. These ports appear as being depressed, while the nonselected ports are not depressed. Port numbers that display in gray specify ports that you cannot select because they do not belong to this VLAN.
- On the MAC, Insert Multicast MAC Addresss dialog box, click Insert.
