Configuring MAC priority

To configure MAC priority:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > Filter.
  2. The ACL dialog box opens with the Template Mode tab displayed.
  3. Click the MAC priority tab.
  4. The MAC priority tab opens.

The table that follows describes the MAC Priority dialog box fields.


Field Description
Index
Specifies the template rule index. Possible values range from 0 to 65535.
VlanName
Specifies the VLAN name.
DstMacAddress
Filters the destination MAC address to operate on bridged, but not routed packets. It also filters the source MAC address to operate on all packets.
PriorityValue
Specifies the priority related to one of the 8 hardware priority queues.

  1. Click Insert.
  2. The ACL, Insert MAC Priority dialog box opens.
  3. Enter the index number.
  4. In the VlanName field, select the VLAN name by clicking the ellipsis button.
  5. The VlanName selection box opens.
  6. Highlight the desired VLAN and then click OK.
  7. Enter the DstMacAddress.
  8. Select the PriorityValue.
  9. Click Insert.
  10. Click Close.
