Configuring RIPv2 Tx and Rx Mode

The Passport 1600 Series Layer 3 routing switch uses RIPv1 compatible transmit mode and RIPv1 and RIPv2 receive mode. This allows the Passport 1600 routing switch to operate in both RIP modes of operation.

To configure RIP Tx and Rx modes:

From the Device Manager menu bar, select IP Routing > RIP > Interfaces.


The RIP dialog box opens with the Interfaces tab displayed.
  1. Set Send to ripVersion2.
  2. Set Receive to rip1orRip2.
  3. Click Apply.
