Disabling STP on an interface
Should you wish, you can disable STP globally or on a per port basis. The example that follows explains how to disable STP on the interface level.
You can disable STP on the interface level in one of two ways:
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > STP.

- Click STP Ports.

- Click the Status field for the desired port and then click disabled in the selection menu that appears.
- From the Device Manager main window, use the mouse and right click on the port on which you wish to disable STP.
- Select disable from the selection menu that appears
| You will be prompted with a message asking if you really wish to disable the selected port. |
- Click Yes.
- To confirm that the port has indeed been disabled, select Edit > Port.

- Click the STP tab.

- Click Close to return to the main Device Manager window.
