Creating port-based VLANs
This example shows you how to create two new port-based VLANs with the following characteristics :
- a PVID of 10 using ports 10-12
- a PVID of 12 using ports 13-14
- a tagged uplink port with both VLAN 10 and 12 using port 49
The figure that follows illustrates these characteristics.
To configure these VLANs:
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.

- Click Insert.

- Add VLAN 10 as follows:
- Enter 10 in the Id field and VLAN-10 in the Name field
- Click on the PortMembers ellipsis button.

- Click on ports 10, 11, 12, and 49
- Click on the UntaggedPorts ellipsis button.

- Click on ports 10, 11, and 12
- Add VLAN 12 as follows:
- Enter 12 in the Id field and VLAN-12 in the Name field.
- Click on the PortMembers ellipsis button.

- Click on ports 13, 14, and 49.
- Click on the UntaggedPorts ellipsis button.

- Click on ports 13 and 14.
- Save your configuration
