Configuring the template rule
Once you have configured the template mode and flow classifiers, you need to configure a template rule. When doing so, you need to define which Template ID to use, either l4-switch or qos. Note that the list of selections you have available, depends on how you configured the flow classifiers previously.
To configure the template rule:
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > Filter.

- Click the Template Rule tab.

- Click Insert.

- Configure the template rule using the l4-switch template as follows:
- Click l4-switch in the TemplateId field.
- Click tcp, udp, or other depending on how you configured the flow classifier previously.
- Click the desired L4ActionType- drop, forward, or redirect.
- Configure the template rule using the qos template as follows:
- Click qos in the TemplateId field.
- Enter the appropriate parameters depending on how you configured the flow classifier previously.
- Click Close to return to the main Device Manager window.
