Inserting MAC filters

You can insert MAC filters as follows:

  1. On the Device Manage menu bar, choose VLAN > MAC Forwarding.
    2. The MAC dialog box opens with the MAC FDB tab displayed.
  2. Click the MAC Filters tab.
    3. The MAC Filters tab opens.

The following table describes the MAC Filters tab fields on the MAC dialog box.


Field Description
MACIndex
This field specifies a unicast/multicast MAC address for which the switch has filtering information.
State
The status of the entry. Possible values include:
  • dst-addr- received frames' destination addresses are currently used to filter as they meet the MAC address entry of the table.
  • src-addr- received frames' source address are currently used to filter as they meet the MAC address entry of the table.
  • dst-src-addr- received frames' destination address or source address are currently to filter as they meet the MAC address entry of the table.

  1. Click Insert.
    2. The MAC, Insert MAC Filters dialog box opens.
  2. Enter a MAC address.
  3. Select the state.
  4. On the MAC, Insert MAC Filters dialog box, click Insert.
