Configuring spanning tree protocol port settings
The spanning tree protocol (STP) operates on two levels:
- Switch level--the STP settings are globally implemented.
- Port level--the STP settings are implemented on a per user-defined Group of ports basis.
STP must be globally enabled before you can enable any specified ports.
To configure STP on a per user-defined group of ports basis:
- On the device view, select a port or multiple ports.
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Port.
