Configuring a new host name

The default owner of the RMON statistics port is the host name on which the Device Manager software is running.

To insert another host name:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose RMON > Control.
    2. The RmonControl dialog box opens with the History tab displayed.
  2. Click the Ethernet Statistics tab.
    3. The Ethernet Statistics tab opens.
  3. On the RmonControl dialog box, click Insert.
    4. The RmonControl, Insert Ethernet Statistics dialog box opens.
  4. In the RmonControl, Insert Ethernet Statistics dialog box, click the Port ellipsis button.
    5. The EtherStatsDataSource dialog box opens.
  5. In the EtherStatsDataSource dialog box, select a port.
  6. Click Ok.
    7. The selected port number appears in the RmonControl, Insert Ethernet Statistics dialog box.
  7. In the RmonControl, Insert Ethernet Statistics dialog box, enter the new host name in the Owner field.
  8. Click Insert.
  9. The new host name entry appears in the RmonControl Ethernet Statistics tab.
