Chassis dialog box--System tab fields


Field Description
Descr
The system assigned name and the software version it is running.
ModuleType
The extension module type (the installed MDA).
UpTime
The time since the system was last booted.
Contact
The contact information (a name or an e-mail address) for the Nortel Networks support group.
Name
The name of this device.
Location
The physical location of this device.
SystemIPAddr
The virtual IP address is the IP address advertised by the master CPU. Unlike the management port IP address, this address is stored in the switch configuration file and not the boot configuration file.
SystemSubNetMask
The net mask of the virtual management IP address.
DefaultGateway
The system default gateway
dot1qVlanStaticName.1
An administratively assigned string, which may be used to identify the VLAN.
AuthenticationTraps
Enables or disables authentication traps. When you enable, SNMP traps are sent to trap receivers for all SNMP access authentication.
To view traps, click the Trap Log button on the Device Manager toolbar.
CleanAllStatisticCounter
Allows you to clear all statistic counters.
  • reset--click to clear all counters.
ClearHistoryLog
Allows you to clear all History counters.
  • reset--click to clear all counters.
MgmtProtocolCapability
Read-only field that shows the network management protocol(s) supported by this agent.
SystemRestart
Allows you to restart system. The default value is no-reset.
  • cold-start--restarts the agent. The agent always returns to no-restart when this object is read.
  • no-reset--has no effect.
FactoryReset
Sets the agent system reset state:
  • no-reset--has no effect.
  • reset-- resets the agent to default settings except IP address, user account and history log.
  • config-- resets the agent to default settings.
  • system-- resets the agent to default settings. Then the switch will do a factory reset, save, and reboot. The agent always returns no-reset when this object is read.
SaveCfg
When set to save, the current device configuration is saved into NV-RAM.
InfoSaveCfg
Read-only field that indicates the status of the device configuration.
