The Passport 1424T Routing switch supports four class priority output queues per port into which the packet can be placed. Each of the four queues is mapped to one of eight Qos level identifications, and queues are serviced using guaranteed Weighted Round Robin.
Class IDs are assigned to each queue as a percentage of the total number of possible packet transmit opportunities. For example, each class is user assigned a maximum number of packets that can be transmitted and a maximum latency time (in microseconds) in which to transmit the packets.
