Enabling the system log

You can enable the system log feature globally to send messages to up to 10 syslog hosts. By default, five hosts are supported.

To enable the system log feature globally:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Diagnostics.
    2. The Diagnostics dialog box opens with the Error tab displayed.
  2. Click the System Log tab.
    3. The System Log tab opens.
  3. Set Enable to true.
  4. Set the maximum number of hosts (1 to 10).
