Globals tab fields

Field Description
VpnId
Displays the unique Identification number for this VPN.
Port
Displays the specific slot/port number that is assigned to the VPN.
To assign a new port number or to edit an existing port number, double-click the field and choose an option from the pop-up menu.
MemAction
Allows you to add or remove the specified VPN member for this port.
To assign this port as a new VPN member or to edit an existing VPN member, double-click the field and choose an option from the pop-up menu.
QtagNumOrRange
Displays the qtags or range of qtags for this port. The qtag number is an integer value in the range 1 to 4096.
AdminState
Allows you to enable or disable the specified VPN. The default value is disable.
To enable or disable the specified VPN, double-click the field and choose an option from the pop-up menu.
TunnelGrpId
Displays the tunnel group Identification this VPN is using to reach the remote LER. The TunnelGrpId is an integer value in the range 1 to 65535.
VcGrpId
Associates the specified VPN with the VC group ID specified by the entered field value. The VcGrpId is an integer value in the range 0 to 65535.
RemotePeerId
Displays the remote LER's IP address (IP address 0.0.0.1 represents the local peer).
ServiceType
Specifies the class of service to be supported by this VPN. The default service-type value is B-service:
To set the class of service to be supported by this VPN, double-click the field and choose an option from the pop-up menu.
The available options are:
  • serviceA (Class A) sets the committed information rate (CIR) to be equal to the peak information rate (PIR). The default values for this service type is:
  • -- out-CIR-bw-req = 1
    -- out-PIR-bw-req = 1
Class A service does not allow packets that are below the CIR to be dropped. Packets that exceed the PIR are dropped.
  • serviceB (Class B) sets the CIR and PIR to reliably transmit all packets that are less-then or equal-to the CIR. The default values for this service type is:
  • -- out-CIR-bw-req = 1
    -- out-PIR-bw-req = 1000
All packets that are above the PIR ar dropped.
  • serviceC (Class C) sets CIR equal to 0 (zero), configure PIR. The default values for this service type is:
  • -- out-CIR-bw-req = 0
    -- out-PIR-bw-req = 1000
During heavy (congested) network traffic conditions, all packets are dropped. when bandwidth is available, transmit packets that are within 0 (zero) CIR and PIR.
InteropMode
The interoperation mode parameter setting for the specified P2P-VPN. This parameter value allows compatibility with Juniper switches. The default value is standard.
  • standard--indicates standard operational mode (non-operational with Juniper switches).
  • juniper--indicates Juniper mode (operational with Juniper switches).
Requested CIR BW
Displays the outbound lower bandwidth required parameter to enable the admin status. Specifies the lower guaranteed bandwidth in Mb/s.
  • out-CIR-bw-req is an integer value that represents the VPN's outbound lower bandwidth requirement in the range 1 to 1000 Mb/s. The default value is 1.
Note: you should define the service-type parameter before you set this parameter.
Requested PIR BW
Displays the outbound upper bandwidth required parameter to enable the admin status. Specifies the upper guaranteed bandwidth in Mb/s. Interpretation of this is based on the ServiceType.
  • out-PIR-bw-req is an integer value that represents the VPN's outbound upper bandwidth requirement in the range 1 to 1000 Mb/s. The default value is 1000.
Note: you should define the service-type parameter before you set this parameter.
