FDB Config tab

Use the FDB Config tab of the OEL2 dialog box to configure forwarding database settings.

The following table describes the parts of the FDB Config tab.

Part Description
TDId
Shows the Transparent Domain Identifier for which this entry contains FDB information.
Port
The port to which the entry applies.
MAC
The Ethernet MAC address pertaining to this FDB entry.
NextHopMacAddr
Physical address of the destination node or port to which packets destined to the tlsFdbMac will be forwarded on this ring.
EntryType
The type of the entry in regards to static or dynamic (learned). There are three valid settings:
  • static
  • dynamic
  • misconfig
The misconfig option is used when the port on which this entry was learned is in a mode not understood by the source port.
NOTE: You can add Static FDB entries only to a TD configured as a hub. Static FDB entries are flushed if you change the configuration from hub to either spoke or point-to-point.
Dynamic FDB entries learned by TDs configured as either a spoke or point-to-point are flushed when that TD is disabled or when the associated UNI port is disabled. These dynamic entries are also fused when you change the configuration from point-to-point to spoke or from spoke to point-to-point.

IpAddress
Unicast IP Address of the destination TLS UNI for this entry. A value of 0.0.0.0 should be reported for TDs which are not associated with a OEL2 UNI.
