Configuring mapped ports

Mapped ports use the FramesTag setting to differentiate traffic destined for different transparent domains.


Note: You cannot have more than 12 mapped service type ports in a single mapped service type transparent domain (TD).

To configure mapped ports:

  1. Configure the IP address for the UNI port.
  2. For information on configuring the IP address, see Assigning an IP address to a UNI port.
  3. Set the service type for the port to mapped.
  4. For information on configuring the IP address, see Configuring UNI port service types.
  5. Add the transparent domains that will share the port.
  6. For information on adding transparent domains, see Creating transparent domains.
  7. Enter FramesTag settings for the transparent domains that will share the port.
  8. For information on FramesTag settings, see Associating a UNI port with a transparent domain.
  9. Enable LAN service for the transparent domain.
  10. For information on enabling LAN service, see Enabling or Disabling Transparent LAN service.
  11. Enable the port.
