Mapping 802.1p priority to Optical Ethernet class-of-service
When configuring the OM 1000 ESM module, you map 802.1p customer network priority levels to Optical Ethernet class-of-service values. You probably map the priority levels according to a service level agreement that specifies the priorities.
To map 802.1p priority levels to Optical Ethernet class-of-service values:
- In Device Manager, choose Application > OEL2.

- Click the LAN Services tab to bring it to the front.
- Find the table row corresponding to the transparent domain you are configuring.
| Use the TDIndex column to identify the transparent domains in the table. |
- In the PriorityMap column, edit the priority mapping entry to achieve the desired mapping.
| The PriorityMap column contains an array of eight numbers separated by colons The position of the number from the left represents the 802.1p priority of an incoming packet. The number at that position represents the transparent domain priority that will be assigned to the packet. This relationship is shown in the example in Figure 1. |
