Reference for the OPTera Metro 1000 Series Ethernet Service Modules Management Software Operations

Port dialog box

Use the Port dialog box to view information and to configure parameters for a specific UNI or NNI port on the OM 1000 ESM module.

Note: For complete information on autonegotiation on the ports of the OM 1000 ESM module, refer to Using the OPTera Metro 1000 Series Ethernet Service Modules Release 1.1.

To open the Port dialog box:

Ë Do one of the following:

Right-click a port and choose Edit
Select a port and choose Edit > Port
Drag or [Ctrl]-click multiple ports and choose Edit > Port
(opens the dialog box in multi-port mode)

The following table describes the parts of the Port dialog box.


Part	Description
Interface tab	Opens the Interface tab, where you set interface parameters for the selected port.
LAN Ports tab	Opens the LAN ports tab, where you set LAN parameters for the selected port.
QoS Queue Mapping tab	Opens the QoS Queue Mapping tab, where you set QoS Queue Mapping parameters for the selected port.
QoS Queue Settings tab	Opens the QoS Queue Settings tab, where you set QoS Queue Settings parameters for the selected port.

Note: When you open the Port dialog box for multiple selected ports, the QoS Queue Mapping tab and the QoS Queue Settings tab do not appear. These tabs appear only when you select a single port.
