ADM tab

Use the ADM tab of the Chassis dialog box to view and edit Auto-Discovery Mechanism (ADM) protocol settings for the OM 1000 ESM module.

The OM 1000 ESM module uses the ADM protocol to pass VPN membership information to the OM 8000 switch to allow the OM 8000 switch to discover the modules.

The following table describes the parts of the ADM tab.


Part Description
ProtocolEnabled
Allows you to enable or disable the ADM protocol; check to enable and uncheck to disable.
NumHelloMessages
Allows you to set the number of Hello messages generated when a UNI/TDI association is changed.
HelloMessageInterval
Lets you set the time interval between Hello messages generated when a UNI/TDI association is changed.
KeepAliveInterval
Lets you set the time interval between generation of keep-alive Hello messages.
UDPPort
Lets you set the UDP port to which ADM Hello messages are sent.
Apply
Applies the settings and information to the device. This command button only appears on tabs with configurable settings, and is only enabled when settings have been changed.
Refresh
Refreshes the settings and information from the device.
Close
Closes the Chassis dialog box.
Help
Opens online Help for the current tab of the Chassis dialog box.
