| Using the BayStack 5510 Switch |
The following table describes the STG, Insert Configuration tab fields.
Id
Enter an integer between 1 and 25 that identifies the STG; 1 is the default STG.
Priority
Enter the first two octets of the 8-octet bridge ID; range is 0 to 65535.
BridgeMaxAge
Enter the maximum time you want to allow before the specified STG times out, in seconds; range is 600 to 4,000.
BridgeHelloTime
Enter the maximum time between hellos, in seconds; range is 100 to 1,000.
BridgeForwardDelay
Enter the maximum delay in forwarding, in seconds; range is 400 to 3,000.
TaggedBdpuVlanId
Enter the VLAN ID for tagged BDPUs.
PortMembers
Opens a dialog box that lets you specify ports as members of the specified STG for some BayStack and Passport devices. Do not use this feature with the BayStack 5510 Switch
The BayStack 5510 Switch does not support adding or removing ports directly to STGs. Instead, you must change the port membership by adding and removing VLANs.
