DC Source fields

The following table describes the DC Source tab fields for a single unit.


Field Description
OperState
Indicates whether or not an optional external DC source is operating with the switch:
  • other: Some other state.
  • notAvail: State not available.
  • removed: Component was removed.
  • disabled: Operation disabled.
  • normal: State is in normal operation.
  • resetInProg: There is a reset in progress.
  • testing: System is doing a self test.
  • warning: System is operating at a warning level.
  • nonFatalErr: System is operating at error level.
  • fatalErr: A fatal error stopped operation.
  • notConfig: A module needs to be configured. The allowable values are determined by the component type.
Type
Allows you to configure the type of external power source the switch is using:
  • bayStack10--BayStack 10 PSU
  • nes--NES unit

Note: The default setting is bayStack 10. You configure this field whether or not you are physically using an external power source. Refer to Using the BayStack 470-24T 10/100/1000 Switch for more information on the necessity of configuring the DC source type under all circumstances.
SourceConfig
Allows you to configure the DC source configuration:
  • ups
  • rpsu
  • powerSharing

Note: The default setting is powerSharing. You configure this field whether or not you are physically using an external power source. Refer to Using the BayStack 470-24T 10/100/1000 Switch for more information on the necessity of configuring the DC source configuration under all circumstances.
