Topology Table tab

To view more topology information:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Diagnostics.
  2. The Diagnostics dialog box opens with the Topology tab displayed.
  3. Click the Topology Table tab.
  4. The Topology Table tab opens.

The following table describes the Topology Table tab fields.


Field Description
Slot
The slot number in the chassis in which the topology message was received.
Port
The port on which the topology message was received.
IpAddr
The IP address of the sender of the topology message.
SegId
The segment identifier of the segment from which the remote agent sent the topology message. This value is extracted from the message.
MacAddr
The MAC address of the sender of the topology message.
ChassisType
The chassis type of the device that sent the topology message.
BkplType
The backplane type of the device that sent the topology message.
LocalSeg
Indicates if the sender of the topology message is on the same Ethernet segment as the reporting agent.
CurState
The current state of the sender of the topology message. The choices are:
  • topChanged --Topology information has recently changed.
  • heartbeat --Topology information is unchanged.
  • new -- The sending agent is in a new state.
