Configuring IP server load balancing

To configure IP server load balancing:

  1. From the device view, select the Web Switching Module.
  2. The Web Switching Module is highlighted.
  3. From the Edit menu, choose WSM Card > L4 Switching > SLB.
  4. The Server Load Balance dialog box opens to the General tab.
  5. Click the Virtual Servers tab.
  6. The Virtual Servers tab opens.
  7. Click the Layer 3 Only field for the virtual server you want to configure, and change the value to Layer3Only.
  8. Click Set > Apply.
  9. Layer 3 only processing is enabled for the virtual server so that only the client IP address is used as the session identifier.
  10. Select the Virtual Server.
  11. The virtual server number is highlighted.
  12. Click Services.
  13. The Virtual Server Services dialog boxopens displaying the services for the selected virtual server.
  14. Click Insert.
  15. The Insert Server Services dialog box opens.
  16. In the Virtual Service field, type a number (1 - 8) for the IP service.
  17. In the Real Group field, type the real server group number, or click Browse to choose the real server group from a selection list.
  18. In the Real Server Port field, type 1 for the IP Service real server port.
  19. Click Insert.
  20. The Virtual Server Services, Insert Services dialog box closes and the service appears in the Virtual Server Services dialog box.
  21. Click Apply > Close.
  22. The service is configured and the Virtual Server Services dialog box closes.
  23. In the Server Load Balance dialog box, click Close.
  24. IP server load balancing is configured and the Server load Balance dialog box closes.
