Configuring multicast MAC filtering

Multicast Media Access Control (MAC) filtering allows you to create a smaller flooding domain inside a VLAN. For a particular VLAN, you specify a multicast MAC address and a subset of ports. When clients send data to that designated MAC address, only that subset of ports will then receive the traffic. For more information about Multicast MAC filtering, refer to Configuring IP Multicast Routing Protocols.
