Flushing the routing tables
For administrative and/or troubleshooting purposes, it is sometimes necessary to flush the routing tables. Device Manager enables flushing in two contexts: by VLAN and by port.
- To set flushing by VLAN:
- To set flushing by VLAN, choose VLAN > VLANs.
| The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed. |
- Click the Advanced tab.
- In the VLAN Advanced tab dialog box, click the VLAN Operation Action for the selected VLAN.
- Select the VLAN Operation Action that you want to perform.
- Click Apply.
- To set flushing by port:
- To set flushing by port, choose Edit > Port.
| The Port dialog box opens with the Interface tab displayed. |
- In the Action field for the Port, Interface tab, select the VLAN Operation Action that you want to perform.
After a routing table is flushed, it does not automatically repopulate. The delay depends on the routing protocols in use.
