Enabling IP forwarding

IP forwarding must be enabled globally in order to configure an IP address. By default, IP forwarding is enabled.

To verify that IP forwarding is enabled globally:

  1. From the Device Manager window menu bar, choose IP Routing > IP.
    2. The IP dialog box opens with the Globals tab displayed.
  2. In the Forwarding check box, select forwarding.
  3. Click Apply.
