Configuration prerequisites and notes

Before you can configure IGMP, you must prepare the router as follows:

  1. Configure an IP interface.
  2. Configure IGMP on an L3 interface by enabling multicast routing, i.e., DVMRP.
    3. To enable DVMRP on an IP interface, first enable them globally.
